Blur: The Ballad of Darren — Livestream

--

The best £15 I’ve spent so far! Really wanted to see Blur on tour but £90+. Thanks to Drift’s livestream I was able to experience Blur on tour, get the excitement of the venue, and see! It’s not ‘live’ live music, but a very excellent second choice…

What a treat! Damon on piano and guitar, being giggled at by his band mates for the screaming during ‘St Charles Square’, the guitarist sofa (literal live lounge!) Kudos to the lighting team — it look spectacular without spoiling the performances or the music. What energy and yet King Solomon meets David Bowie wistful lyrics, with a hint of the Beatles. Utter respect to the security guard whose literal strong arms were keeping Damon Albarn safe and secure when he decided to semi-surf the audience.

Better still — free catch up facility to experience this beautiful, yearning album and re-live Graham Coxon performing epic complex guitar effects.
