Delightful Dan Tepfer: Jazz, Bach and the Nicest Online Audience

Your jury still out on Jazz? Bewildered by Bach? Irked by online communities and their endless comments and emojis? Well this is different….

At the beginning of COVID times, Dan Tepfer gave weekly concerts from home — Remote Connections. These can be found on YouTube or Facebook today — he got to 100! Branching out, he began to organise collaborative concerts with other musicians and set up the tech to create good shared quality sound for a piano and other instruments.

The remarkable thing is the audience — the only other super nice audience online I’ve known is at a Go Go Penguin gig where tech support was being offered in the chat. Here it is very positive chat, people are really kind to one another and you might get a shout out or to make a request — yes the man takes requests too! There’s some nice banter. Wonderful range of jazz and other works, and tonight the beautiful Ukrainian National Anthem played too.

Away from WIFI and gadgets on the day of a concert? You can still get a ticket and get a recording to access later on…Also back to playing real life live events too!

Have a watch/listen on all the socials….
