Why Wonder Woman is a Christmas Movie

--

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for WonderWoman and Steve

People often debate whether Die Hard is a Christmas movie, but I would like to propose WonderWoman as a Christmas movie contender….

1) It takes place in winter (around the November armistice), but Ares aims to to extend the war…to Christmas (and even New Year!)

2) There is snow

3) Romance and dancing in the snowfall

4) The wonder of snow

5) WonderWoman hits the trenches to stop the war so that people can experience peace, good things and unsaid early Christmas, (pretty much Angel of Mons and football matches in the opposing trenches mashed up into one)

6) There is Christmas clothing — too early for Christmas jumpers, there is instead a lot of ethically sourced fur and scarves (aviator Christmas style)

7) Christmas trees (as they hide in the forest to infiltrate the German castle party/ball)

8) A ball…cos almost Christmas! (though they are also celebrating Axis victory)

9) The merriment of the rescued townspeople and the friends — like Christmas…they make toasts, they take selfies, they almost pull crackers and eat plum pudding!

10) No one says ‘God bless us everyone’, but I’m sure that this scene got cut and they might as well…

11) Clearly Ares wants to cancel Christmas by extending the war — what a spoiler of worlds and fun, and party-pooper!!!
